Being Human Details (aka I'm resisting the urge to write fannish love letters to Andrew Purcell):
This is really nerdy, but a week or so ago I caught myself wondering where Hal obtained the exercise bike that's in his room.

Did he find it somewhere in the house, or did he go out and buy it (clearly used)? Did he and Tom end up at another resale shop in search of used exercise equipment?
I randomly decided to start rewatching series 3 today, and guess what makes a special guest appearance in 3x01!

I'd totally forgotten that the basement was advertised as a gym when George, Nina, and Mitchell went to view the house.
Mostly, I just really love following moving furniture on this show. So much. At this point the house in Barry might actually be my favorite character...which means there are probably posts forthcoming regarding wallpaper, musical beds, unopened doors, photos, messes, and Annie's homemaking vs. Hal's.

Date: 2013-02-28 12:09 pm (UTC)I like houses as a setting for TV-shows. F.ex. the house in Charmed was pretty much a character in its own right and it was always arguably easy to figure out which room was where. Not to mention I just find it incredibly pretty. Buffy's house appeared more and more often in later seasons too. On the one hand, it's great that the new BH trio isn't hiding in the house. They have lives and try to maintain a semblance of normality, which is wonderful. But at the same time I sort of miss the more "domestic" atmosphere of earlier seasons. Kind of like what Annie said: we were safe here while outside the monsters prowled. IDK if it makes sense. XDDD

I never watched Charmed, but I agree on Buffy's house, and I miss the more domestic atmosphere on BH this season a lot. The fact that I have no idea if Alex has claimed a specific space in that house as her own really bothers me.
On the one hand, I like that the characters have lives and are trying to maintain a semblance of normality outside of the house. On the other hand, losing Annie, thereby essentially promoting Hal to 'head of household' AND having him continue to try to function outside of the house on top of that clearly hasn't been going very well. Hal kinda needs someone else in charge.
Random thought that popped up as I was typing this - I wonder what they did about the lease on this place once George was out of the picture. Did they transfer the lease over to Tom?
